At the Nate Waters Physical Therapy Clinic, TCC PTA Program faculty train students to be Physical Therapist Assistants, while offering pro bono physical therapy services for underserved adults and children in the Tulsa area. In essence, it’s a teaching clinic that helps the community.

Each patient is supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant throughout their plan of care.

Potential patients should submit an application for review by the clinic director.

Each patient is supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant throughout their care.

All potential patients must receive approval from the clinic director before becoming a patient to ensure we are a good fit for both the students and the patient.

Appointments

Appointments for physical therapy services occur from February-April, the month of July, and September-November.

To become a patient, please fill out the patient application form. You can email the form to dlupton@tulsacc.edu, fax it to 918-595-3435 or bring it by the clinic when completed. A doctor’s prescription is also needed before scheduling an evaluation. After a completed application and a doctor’s order are received, we will call you to schedule the evaluation.

Applications may be found online or by phoning 918-595-3420. Additionally, a current doctor’s prescription for therapy will be required prior to the start of initiating an evaluation.

The Nate Waters Physical Therapy Clinic is a unique clinic designed to serve the educational needs of our Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) students while assisting those with limited resources for physical therapy. All initial patient evaluations will be conducted by a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). Continued treatment, however, will be provided by students supervised by a licensed PT or PTA.

Currently, we provide physical therapy and sometimes occupational therapy services.  We do not provide mental health or speech therapy services at this time.

We will not bill insurance.

Possibly.  Because our mission is to serve underserved with demonstrated limited resources, it may not be possible.  Additionally, our appointment availability may be restricted to certain days/times/frequencies that may not meet your personal needs.

No, we do not perform wound care services.

No, we are scheduled appointments only.
